The Mayor and Mayoress officiated a Citizenship Ceremony which was held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Sunderland.

Wednesday 25 June 2025

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor attended a pre-council meeting followed by the full council meeting. This meeting took place in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA.

Thursday 26 June 2025

The Mayor and Mayoress attended the Age UK Sunderland annual volunteer award celebration, which took place at The Grand Hotel, Seaburn where the Mayor helped present the volunteer long service awards and the Volunteer Award for 2025.

The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress attended the Sunderland Sports Fund Presentations which took place at the Firestation, High Street West, Sunderland.

The Mayor and Mayoress joined the 101st Northumbrian Royal Artillery Regiment for their annual Beating Retreat which took place at 204 Tyneside Scottish Battery, Army Reserve Centre, Newcastle NE3 2EF. 

Friday 27 June 2025

The Mayor and Mayoress hosted the annual Armed Forces Day Reception and Flag Raising Ceremony to highlight the City's appreciation of our Armed Forces community, from those currently serving troops, service families, veterans, cadets, and reservists. This took take place in the Mayor's Parlour, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland. The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress were also in attendance.

The Mayor and Mayoress attended FISCUS Sunderland Centre for Warmth based in The Coop Centre, Whitehouse Road, Hendon, Sunderland where the Mayor officially opened the Centre.

Saturday 28 June 2025

The Mayor and Mayoress attended the Sunderland Armed Forces Weekend which took place in Recreational Park, Seaburn Terrace, Seaburn, Sunderland. The Mayor raised the Armed Forces Flag to officially open the event. 

The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress attended a 1940's Weekend at Springwell Village Community Venue, Fell Road, Gateshead where the Deputy Mayor officially opened the event and chatted to organisers and members of the public.

The Mayor and Mayoress attended the Sunderland Pride Parade followed by the Pride Concert, which was held at Keel Square, Sunderland. The Mayor welcomed everyone to the concert.

The Mayor and Mayoress attended the annual Barnes Park Family Fun Day which took place in Barnes Park, Barnes Road, Sunderland. The Mayor met with stall holders and chatted to members of the public. 

The Mayor and Mayoress attended Pemberton Bowling Club, Barnes park, Sunderland to celebrate the club's centenary year. The Mayor presented a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
