The Mayor and Mayoress attended a reception in the Mayor's Parlour, City Hall, Sunderland to celebrate the launch of a new book titled 'You Raise Me Up.'  The book was co-written by Kevin and Joyce Lillie and documents the life and missionary work of Sister Mary Scholastica.

The Mayor and Mayoress attended Hope Bank View Retirement Village in Silksworth. The mayor launched the beginning of the Abbeyfield week celebrations which saw employees and residents fundraise for various local causes including the Sunderland Food Bank.

The Mayor and Mayoress attend Sunderland College, Bede Campus where they met with Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive to learn more about the college's future vision and goals.

Friday 13 June 2025

The Mayor and Mayoress joined Sunderland Care and Support for their annual walk where they joined in a one mile walk around Barnes Park. Following the walk the mayor presented medals to all participants.

Saturday 14 June 2025

The Mayor and Mayoress attended the Brewlab 'Super Saturday' event where they had a tour of the company's premises and their new brewery taproom where they serve all the beer brewed onsite. Brewlab also provide training and analysis to the international brewing industry.

The Mayor and Mayoress were guests of the Bishopwearmouth Choral Society at their concert held in Sunderland Minster.
