Learning and Skills Service

Learning and Skills Service

The Learning and Skills Service offers courses in a wide range of learning venues across Sunderland, via online platforms and distance learning. This means you can access learning locally in places like community centres, schools and libraries, as well as in your own home and we offer a wide range of courses to suit all interests.

We are funded by the North East Combined Authority, and the Department of Education.  When you enrol we'll ask you for evidence that you meet the criteria, this might include proof of address, payslips, and photographic identification. English and maths courses are free for learners who do not hold a GCSE grade 4/C or above.

The Learning and Skills Service were graded Good by Ofsted in our most recent Learning and Skills Service Ofsted Report (opens new window).
