Planned System Maintenance - Limited Service

Sunderland City Council will be carrying out planned system maintenance from 12 noon on Friday 5th June until 7am on Tuesday 9th June. During this period, we will only be able to respond to urgent enquiries. If your enquiry is not urgent, please contact us before or after these times when full services will be available. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Start work - stay supported

Connect to Work Sunderland offers free support to help you move quickly into a job that suits you. You will be matched with an Employment Specialist who will work with you on a one-to-one basis, getting to know your strengths, motivations and job goals. Together, you will explore what type of work suits you and build your confidence to move forward.

If you or someone you know is looking for work, a resident of Sunderland, aged 18 or over and facing barriers because of disability, neurodiversity, mental health or other long term health conditions, we are here to offer support.

The Connect to Work supported employment programme offers you personalised and practical help. Our employment specialists will:

✔️work with you to help discover your strengths, goals, and the type of job that's right for you
✔️help you with job searching, applications and interviews
✔️talk to employers for you and help find the right job
✔️keep in touch with you for up to a year once you start work. We'll help you settle in, adjust and feel confident in your job.
