From Thursday 5 November, new national restrictions become law until Wednesday 2 December. These restrictions will have an impact on some council services.

We will continue to;

  • Provide essential council services
  • Offer support to those who need it most in our communities, visit Need to support for more information or call us on 0800 234 6084 (8.30am-5pm seven days a week).
  • Seek further clarification from Government as soon as possible around what support is available for businesses affected, including the hospitality sector

School closures

The health and wellbeing of our residents and staff is our top priority and we are continuing to follow latest advice and guidance to help control the virus.

Help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and protect the people and places you love by following the latest national restrictions

  • staying at home as much as possible
  • limiting contact with other people
  • keeping your distance if you go out (staying 2 metres apart where possible)
  • washing your hands regularly
  • wearing a face covering indoors when appropriate
  • immediately self-isolating if anyone in your household has symptoms and
  • booking a test by visiting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or calling 119 if you have symptoms
