SkillStart offers Basic skills, such as English, maths and digital skills, which are crucial to supporting adults' life chances. These skills prepare individuals with the tools they need to prosper in life, as well as supporting people into work (in a variety of industries) and progressing within a lifetime of learning.

This programme of learning will support learners to gain a foundation of English, maths and digital skills and knowledge that will enable progression onto formal qualifications or to move closer to the labour market with confidence.
