Training in Care - Awareness of Mental Health and Wellbeing
Who is this course for?
For learners who would like to gain better understanding of mental health factors that influence mental health and possible strategies that can be put in place.
What will I learn on the course?
We will discuss strategies used when working with a person with mental health issues. Learners will also gain knowledge of how to improve their own mental health. By the end of the session the students will have a greater understanding of:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Identifying possible triggers and strategies that may influence change in mental wellbeing.
- How to improve own mental health and the stigma of mental health
How will I learn?
Online learning - the tutor will support learners to access resources, tasks and activities to develop skills and knowledge. An end of course assessment will be completed, and tutor feedback is given.
Face-to-face learning - the tutor will offer direct teaching, discussion and tasks to develop skills and knowledge. The tutor will assess your work, observe your group interactions and offer feedback.
What next, after the course?
You could move on to one of our awareness courses, First Aid or Food Safety courses.
