Pests in the home

We know pests can be a nuisance, damage your home and can affect your health.

We also know that at this particularly difficult and worrying time, it may not be appropriate for a pest control operative to come to your home - you may be unwell, self-isolating or may simply want to avoid someone coming into your home unnecessarily.

So that we can continue to help you throughout the COVID19 pandemic, we have introduced a new self-treat at home service for rats and mice.  We can now deliver a treatment bundle to your door so that you can treat affected affected areas, without the need for anyone to come into your home.  Contact our City and neighbourhood team to request this service.

We are currently continuing to offer our traditional competitively priced pest control service for all types of pest.

The council do not offer a service to treat bees, advice and guidance can be found on the british beekeepers association website.

We, along with other organisations do not treat bees for a number of reasons, information on which can be found at the British Bee Keepers Association website.

For other pests, if you live in the area covered by Sunderland City Council, contact our City and neighbourhood team to book an appointment.  You need to pay for us to get rid of the pests before we can start.  We'll ask for your credit or debit card details when you call.

We operate an appointment system, you can decide when you want us to call, you can choose either a morning or afternoon appointment.

Our team are professional, experienced and fully-qualified.
