Covid-19 update

The government has confirmed that the next step in its roadmap will take place from Monday 19 July. In line with government recommendations this will see an increase in capacity numbers for weddings to allow 30 guests (plus the couple).

Ceremonies will still be a little different from what you have come to expect.  We will keep you updated on current guidelines around readings, music and photographs.

2022 ceremonies can be booked now.

2023 ceremonies can be booked from late August.

 

You will have to pay fees to the Superintendent Registrar for:

Booking a wedding or changing a date/time

  • Giving Notice of Marriage
  • The Marriage Ceremony
  • The Marriage Certificate

Consideration by the Registrar General of a divorce obtained outside of the British Isles - £75

Two registration officers attend for which the council charge between £450.00 and £590.00 for their services. This does not include the cost of the venue.

 If a registration officer is required a fee of between £150.00 and £200.00 depending on the day of the ceremony is payable prior to the marriage for his or her attendance.
