Seaburn masterplan
A public consultation was undertaken on the draft masterplan and design code between Tuesday 19 October and Monday 29 November 2010. Following the consultation period the document was amended as necessary and adopted by the City Council as Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) in July 2011.
The Seaburn Masterplan and Design Code and Supplementary Planning Document (SPD):
- promotes the development of a family-friendly resort at Seaburn to provide high quality indoor and outdoor facilities for both residents and visitors available all year round.
- sets out key planning principles and detailed development guidance to guide the redevelopment of Seaburn.
- will be used by the council to inform future decisions on the redevelopment of the area and is a material consideration when considering future planning applications.
