This page provides access to Council Tax and business rates information that Sunderland City Council publishes as part of its commitment to openness and transparency.

This data is updated regularly. It is intended to help anyone making a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to find commonly requested information without needing to submit a formal request. Please note the liability start date shown as commencing on 1 April 2005 is the date that was used to migrate data from our previous computer system. Therefore, the liability start date may be prior to this date.

The Council does not release information for accounts that have a credit or a credit write-on, as this information is exempt from disclosure under Section 31(1)(a) - Law Enforcement. Disclosure would be likely to prejudice the prevention or detection of crime.
