Planned System Maintenance - Limited Service

Sunderland City Council will be carrying out planned system maintenance from 12 noon on Friday 5th June until 7am on Tuesday 9th June. During this period, we will only be able to respond to urgent enquiries. If your enquiry is not urgent, please contact us before or after these times when full services will be available. Dame Dorothy Street resurfacing works

The project to install a two-way cycle lane that will link Sunderland's seafront to the city centre is almost complete.

The final phase of resurfacing works is due to start on the dedicated cycle lane along Dame Dorothy Street.

The works are scheduled for:

Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 July 2025
Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 July 2025

Traffic Management arrangements will be in place and diversions signposted on site to help minimise disruption. Please see the plans below for further information.
