Bonfires on Allotments
Bonfires will not be permitted between 1st April and 30th September in any year of the tenancy.
During times when burning is permitted the tenant shall:
- Not leave fires unattended at any time
- Not burn any plastic, painted or synthetic material on the allotment garden
- Only burn small and manageable amounts of garden rubbish, such as weeds
- Not burn any material on the allotment garden that would cause a smoke or odour nuisance to residential properties in the vicinity of the allotment garden and not to burn any wet or damp materials
- Ensure that fires are extinguished immediately if the resulting smoke begins to drift towards residential properties
