Planned System Maintenance - Limited Service

Sunderland City Council will be carrying out planned system maintenance from 12 noon on Friday 5th June until 7am on Tuesday 9th June. During this period, we will only be able to respond to urgent enquiries. If your enquiry is not urgent, please contact us before or after these times when full services will be available. Financial education is learning about how money works but only 48% of children and young people in the UK receive a meaningful financial education. Whether you work with young people or want to learn more as a parent, there are a lot of resources available to help. 

Young Enterprise have created a range of resources and tools for different ages, covering various topics at Young Enterprise Resources and Tools

Money Ready, previously known as MyBnk, delivers impactful financial education and offers a range of e-learning resources, guides, and tools to help young people take control of their finances at Money Ready.

Money Saving Expert has a helpful guide about financial education with links to textbooks, useful videos and more free resources at MSE financial education

Money Heroes resources and support offers are for anyone who wants to help children learn about money, with separate sections for parents, carers and teachers that can be tailored to different ages at Money Heroes

The Money & Pensions Service have created Talk Learn Do providing helpful guides on how to talk to 3 to 11 year olds about money at Talk Learn Do

NatWest Thrive is a free financial education programme that gives teachers, community leaders and parents access to a wide range of bite sized learning content and plans for 5-18 year olds.  Learn more at NatWest Thrive.
