Mental Health First Aiders

What is a mental health first aider?

Our Mental health first aiders are employees who all have a personal interest in mental health and have come together to help other employees who may be struggling themselves.

They have all been officially trained to help people take care of their mental health and can direct colleagues to further support if needed.

How do you contact a mental health first aider?

Anyone who is struggling with their mental health, or wants further information on where to access support internally can contact one of the mental health first aiders within the council. The poster below provides details of the mental health first aiders including contact information, the team they are in and where they are based.
