Elemore's Family Music Festival is set to return to Sunderland's newest country park next month.

A major new festival is set to transform Sunderland this autumn - bringing together electronic music, digital art and cutting-edge technology for a week of unforgettable performances, talks and experiences. Celebrating Sunderland's growing reputation as a music city, the festival will shine a spotlight on the city's thriving cultural scene.

"Now I can wear the right clothes when I go to my football sessions at The Beacon of Light," says Dean, beneficiary of sports kit and active wear donation programme, Kit Out Sunderland.

Residents are being invited to Roker on Saturday 19 July for a Back to the Bandstand event and the first of three Sunderland Art Festivals.

There's public access along Seaburn Promenade as strengthening works continue. Access to businesses is being maintained as storm damaged tarmac is replaced with tougher concrete.
