Sunderland City Council takes the health and well being of all who live, work and study in the city very seriously.  We want people to live an active, independent life to the full.  An important part of achieving this is to take part in regular physical activity in Sunderland the choices available to you just keep getting better.

Sport and Leisure facilities are continuing to evolve, offering access to state of the art equipment in Wellness Centres, more courses and a greater selection of Wellness exercise classes.

Crowtree Leisure Centre Swimming Pool is closed to the public from 21 April 2008.

Newcastle Road Swimming Baths is closed to the public from 17 April 2008.

Hetton Sports Centre is closed to the public from 1 October 2007.
