Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment
The Sunderland Health and Wellbeing Board has published the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) in July 2025. The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment details current and planned pharmacy provision in Sunderland and includes:
- A description of community pharmacies in Sunderland
- An assessment of population health needs
- An assessment of current service provision and access, including any gaps
- An assessment of the contribution that community pharmacy can make to health and wellbeing in Sunderland, now and in the future
- Key messages from stakeholder engagement activity undertaken during the development of the PNA
