The DWP want claimants to continue to look for work and urge claimants to explore opportunities where able to do so. Their Twitter feed @JCPinNTW continues to post those key worker jobs across our region and they encourage people to follow that feed.

New help on offer from Access to Work

You can find out more about the Access to Work scheme on GOV.UK and a factsheet for customers has also been updated.

DWP has now launched Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS), a new programme that will provide employment support for those out of work for three months. This will give jobseekers the boost they need to return to employment supported by an action plan agreed with their Work Coach, peer support and opportunities to build their skills.

JETS will provide employment support to Universal Credit claimants in the work related requirements group and New Style Jobseekers Allowance claimants who have been unemployed for at least 13 weeks. GOV.UK.
