What's on in libraries
While our Library buildings are currently closed children can access e-books and e-audiobooks via BorrowBox - for further information click here https://www.sunderland.gov.uk/libraries/opac
Our libraries regularly hold activities and events:
Sunderland Music Hub, Sunderland Libraries Services and Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens are delighted to share with you their joint project, Story Explorers.
Story Explorers is a project for children aged 6 and under, created during lockdown when children, their families and carers are unable to visit their favourite Sunderland venues. Story Explorers brings together storytelling and singalongs with some of the wonderful collections at Sunderland Libraries Services and Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens.
This project has been supported using public funding from Sunderland Music Hub through Department for Education and Arts Council England, Sunderland City Council and Sunderland Libraries Services and Sunderland Culture through Arts Council England.

Take your reading group meeting online - whether you are continuing an established reading group or interested in starting a new one we can provide free eBooks for your group.
To access the current eBook title each person in the group needs to be a member of Sunderland Libraries Services, if you aren't a member you can join online. You will also need to have access to a device/tablet/phone to download the BorrowBox app.
BorrowBox eBooks can be downloaded by multiple users, so all of your group can read the same title together. Look out for the section called 'Campaign Title'. These titles change from month to month so it's worth checking regularly.
