Michael Erskine - Sewing for all Beginners

Who is this course for?

Adults who would like to develop their knowledge and skills around massage, reflexology and general wellbeing practices.

What will I learn on the course?

You will build confidence and skills in sewing in a safe and friendly environment and work on a variety of personal projects, learning how to:

• Use a sewing machine, digital embroidery machine and over locker.
• Draft your own basic patterns for small items
• Basic sewing techniques
• Produce quality items with a professional finish

How will I learn?

Your tutor will support you to set appropriate targets at the start of the course to guide your learning. They will offer a range of activities that will enable you to compile a small portfolio and practical activities to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence. There will be one to ones, group discussions with course content being adapted to the needs of the learner.

What next, after the course?

You could progress onto further learning or seek volunteering opportunities.
