Foundation of Light - Cooking on a Budget

Who is this course for?

Adults wishing to develop basic cooking skills and knowledge of recipes and ingredients that are economical.

What will I learn on the course?

Through practical cooking sessions, participants will develop key food preparation and cooking skills, as well as knowledge of how to plan and cook a meal according to a budget. Recipes will include items that are commonly provided by food banks.

How will I learn?

Participants will take part in practical sessions, following tutor demonstrations. All equipment and ingredients are provided.

What next, after the course?

Participants can take part in other non-accredited courses at the Foundation of Light, as well as accredited courses such as Level 1 and 2 Home Cooking and Level 1 Hospitality and Tourism.
