Foundation of Light - Healthy Cooking

Who is this course for?

Parents/carers of children in Key Stage 2 who are keen
to develop their basic cooking skills whilst learning how
to make positive changes to their family's diet.

What will I learn on the course?

Participants will learn basic cooking skills and how to
make home-made versions of things they usually buy
ready-made. Recipes include:

  • Soup
  • Chinese stir-fry
  • Curry
  • Pasta

How will I learn?

Participants will engage in practical cooking sessions
where tutors will demonstrate and instruct learners

Learners can progress onto other Family Learning
courses as well as related accredited courses such as
Level 1 Hospitality and Tourism, Level 1 and 2 Home
Cooking and Food Safety and Hygiene.
