Foundation of Light - Baking by Numbers

Who is this course for?

Parents/carers of children of children of primary age
who wish to develop basic maths skills through
themed baking.

What will I learn on the course?

This course aims to refresh and develop basic
numeracy skills through baking. Families will complete
a sweet bake and a savoury bake, with sessions
embedding maths, English and cooking skills as well
as key health and safety information.

How will I learn?

Participants will take part in two practical baking
sessions, following tutor demonstrations.

What next, after the course?

Participants can take part in other family learning
courses, including healthy cooking and maths and
English. Participants can also be referred to accredited
functional skills maths and English sessions as well as
other accreditations.
