Three13 Training & Enterprise - Advance - AIMVOC Level 1 Award in Skills for Horticulture

Who is this course for?

Those lacking in confidence, and/or require work experience and support to move on to their next steps. This course aims to help you to move forward with your life and reach your full potential.

What will I learn on the course?

You will support with establishing a thriving community garden, growing produce and flowers, supporting those in sheltered housing and residential care in the local neighbourhoods to maintain their communal grounds, or building raised beds for a community garden project. We have found fostering community in this way has a powerful effect on inclusion, as well as on health, wellbeing, attitudes and confidence.

How will I learn?

We offer individuals the opportunity to 'do' not just sit and listen, and this 'hands on' programme enables this in a safe and supportive environment.
We want to ensure all our learning offers you the scope to try new things, increase your confidence and feel supported in your next steps.

What next, after the course?

You may want to consider further training with qualifications. Three13 also offer courses developing skills to work in construction and building industries. In addition, you may want to get your CSCS Green Card to enable you to work in this sector. You may want to consider other local courses to develop your skills further. We can suggest some volunteering opportunities and help you either find work or agree an action plan for your next steps.
