Covid-19 vaccine

The NHS is currently offering the Covid-19 vaccine to everyone aged of 16 and over. Some children and young people aged 12-15 will also be offered the vaccine if they live with someone who is more likely to get infections or they have a condition that means they are at high risk from Covid-19.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against coronavirus.

It's important that everyone who is eligible takes up both doses of the vaccine as two doses give the best protection.

If you have a question, talk to your GP or health professional or you can find answers to some frequently asked questions here www.beatcovidne.co.uk

It's never too late to get the vaccine.  If you were previously invited, but haven't taken up the offer yet, get in touch with your GP practice who can arrange an appointment for you.

You can find out more about the vaccine from the NHS website.

You do not need to have a GP or an NHS number to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

This letter from NHS England and NHS Improvement and Public Health England explains how people can get the COVID-19 vaccine and if they want to, register at a GP practice. It is available in over 20 languages.

The Government has recently announced an Autumn Booster vaccination programme and the offer of a vaccine to all 12-15 year-olds. Those eligible will be contacted directly and advised of next steps.
