If someone has left their home permanently to receive care they may be entitled to a discount or exemption.
Someone moving to a residential care home or hospital
A property is exempt from Council Tax if it is left unoccupied because the person responsible for paying Council Tax has permanently moved into a hospital, residential care home or hostel.
