Businesses and employers - financial support

Update 23/07/2021

Hospitality, accommodation (hotels and guest houses only) and leisure businesses, as well as suppliers to hospitality and leisure, will be supported with a grant funded through our Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) allocation to cover the extended restriction period from 21 June to 18 July 2021. Payments will be made automatically to eligible businesses who have previously successfully applied for a Covid Resilience and Covid Support grants. Payment levels will be as follows:

Covid Resilience applicants - £934

Covid Support applicants - £500

Further grants funded through ARG will also be paid to the sectors that continue to be most significantly impacted by continued restrictions including travel agents, live music venues, nightclubs and theatres/arenas.

Payment levels will be as follows:

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of less than £15,000 - £7000

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of between £15,000 - £25,000 - £12,000

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of over £25,000 - £17,000

Update 02/07/2021

Payments will be made automatically to eligible businesses who have previously successfully applied for a Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG), Restart Grant or an ARG funded grant prior to 18 February 2021. Payment levels will be as follows:

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of less than £15,000 - £934

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of between £15,000 - £25,000 - £1,400

RV (or annual rent as a proxy) of over £25,000 - £2,100 

Once made, these payments will exhaust our current ARG allocation.

Government's Coronavirus Business Support Finder Tool

The Government's coronavirus business support finder tool can help businesses and self-employed people to quickly and easily determine what financial support is available to them. The tool asks business owners to fill out a simple questionnaire. They will then be directed to a list of all the financial support they may be eligible for. To access the support finder tool visit the GOV.UK website.
