We would like to hear your views on the future of Stadium Village.
We are holding a six week public consultation between 11 November and 22 December on the amended development framework, which will co-ordinate the regeneration of Stadium Village surrounding the Stadium of Light.
Between 7 January and 17 February 2009 the council carried out a city-wide consultation on the Stadium Village Development Framework.
Following the previous consultation, the development framework has been amended in response to comments received by the council. These amendments include the proposal for an indoor real snow ski slope following interest from leisure operators keen to develop a facility in Sunderland.
Now we would like to hear the views of those who vist, live or work in Sunderland on the future of Stadium Village.
Exhibitions are being held between 11 November and 22 December at Sunderland Civic Centre, Sunderland Aquatic Centre, the Hetton Centre, the Leechmere Independent Living Centre and Washington Millennium Centre. There will also be an exhibition at the City Library and Arts Centre between 11 November and 2 December 2009.
Documents will also be available at all city libraries.
Officers from the City Council and Sunderland arc will be on hand at:
• Sunderland Aquatic Centre on Tuesday 17 November from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Thursday 26 November from 2pm to 8:30pm, and on 7 December from 11am to 2:30pm.
• The Hetton Centre on 1 December 2009 between 9am and 12pm.
• Sunderland Civic Centre third floor reception during normal office hours by appointment. Telephone 0191 561 1714 or email implementation@sunderland.gov.uk. .
