Our role is to provide consumer advice to the public and to traders including weights and measures, trade descriptions, consumer credit, consumer safety and the law on the sale of age restricted products to children.

We also investigate complaints and requests made by the public about traders, inspect trade premises, give legal advice,  undertake enforcement action and work with controlling spread of infectious disease in animals.
