National Year of Reading

2008 is the National Year of Reading, which is a national campaign to help build a greater love of reading, highlighting the benefits that reading for pleasure and purpose can bring to people of all ages. It aims to encourage more people to read more.

In the coming months all libraries in Sunderland will be holding a full programme of events to help people discover the joy of books and reading.
