Members of the public are only likely to come into contact with the Coroner and his office in traumatic or sad circumstances where usually a relative has died suddenly and unexpectedly. It is intended that this guide will be a help to all interested persons and other members of the public who from time to time may come into contact with the Coroner's Office in the city of Sunderland.
