    Sunderland City Council recognises the important role that the Voluntary and Community Sector has in the city. The sector provides a diverse range of activities and services, supporting some of our most vulnerable citizens. This is shown through the council having signed up to the Sunderland Compact. The Sunderland Compact is an agreement between organisations of the Sunderland Partnership and VCS organisations in the city which forms the basis of how we will work better together.
