• Sunderland Aquatic Centre and Wellness Centre

  Sunderland Aquatic and Wellness Centre is a great place to get fit, socialise and have fun. The centre has the finest swimming and diving facilities in the North East boasting the only 50m swimming pool between Leeds and Edinburgh, as well as a Wellness Centre and exercise studio.

• Bunny Hill Wellness Centre

  Bunny Hill Wellness Centre is a great place to get fit, socialise and just have fun, with state of the art equipment, a wide variety of exercise classes and fully qualified instructors on hand to help you achieve your health and wellbeing goals there is no better place.

• Hetton Community Pool and Wellness Centre

  Hetton Community Pool and Wellness Centre is a great place to get fit, socialise and have fun. The centre boasts a 25m swimming pool and learner pool, sauna and steam room, Wellness Centre and exercise studio.

• Houghton Sports Centre and Wellness Centre

  Houghton Sports Centre is a great place to get fit, socialise and have fun. The centre has something for all ages and abilities, boasting a multi-use sports hall, Wellness Centre, soft play area, indoor bowls rink and outdoor wheeled sports park as well as the Welfare Hall, which can cater for a variety of events, for up to 180 people.

• Seaburn Centre and Wellness Centre

  The Seaburn Centre is a great place to stay active and have fun. Situated on the seafront at Seaburn, the centre provides indoor sports facilities for block bookings and special events.

• Silksworth Community Pool, Tennis and Wellness Centre

  With indoor and outdoor tennis courts open all year round, and floodlights keeping the action going until 10pm during the week, there's no excuse not to get on court.

• Silksworth Sports Complex and Ski Slope

  Silksworth Sports Complex is one of the premier ski and snowboard centres in England.

• Washington Leisure Centre

  Washington Leisure Centre is a great place to get fit and have fun with a 25m pool and learner pool, sports hall activities, Wellness Centre and a range of courses and classes.

• Community North Sports Complex

  Community North Sports Complex is a great place to play sport, get fit, or just have fun outdoors.

• Municipal golf courses

  There is a pay and play golf course, and several privately run courses in and around the Sunderland area.

• Get Into Football with the FA

  Sunderland City Council in Partnership with The FA are currently delivering the Get into Football project in the City by retaining current activity for 16 plus including clubs and community groups as well as supporting new initiatives.
