The Community Consultation Strategy was
written to ensure that consultation activity:
- is effectively co-ordinated across the council and with partner
agencies
- impacts on service delivery; is delivered to a high standard and
meets the expectations of the Government particularly in relation to
Best Value.
It is also necessary in order to meet the council's aim of ensuring
that the community is given the opportunity to be involved in, and
influence, policy making, service delivery and evaluation and to further
the council's aims of increasing participation and engagement and
fulfilling its leadership role.
