Second Saturday of the month – 11.00 am - 12.00 noon, Back Community Room, St Mark’s Community Association, St Mark's Terrace, Millfield, (Except August [summer recess] and December [budget briefings])

Third Thursday of the month – 5.30 - 6.30 pm, St Mary Magdalene Church, Wilson Street, Millfield.

Bio: In 2012 I was elected to Sunderland City Council to represent the people of the Millfield Ward, which includes the Deptford, Thorneholme and the city centre areas.

Along with my two Labour colleagues Cllr Iain Kay and Cllr Lynda Scanlan we have fought hard to bring greater investment into the area.

I myself, apart from serving on Full Council, serve on various additional committees such as Development Control (South Sunderland) Sub-Committee, Planning and Highways Committee, East Sunderland Area Committee, The East Sunderland Area Peoples Panel (where I am the Millfield representative), Standards Committee, The Skills, Economy and Regeneration Scrutiny Committee, The Green Terrace Primary School Trust and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Authority.

Along with my two ward colleagues we also attend a number of local residents groups and associations based across the ward and I am a School Governor at both Millfield Nursery and Southwick Community Primary School.

We work hard to make sure your views are known and your ideas and concerns and problems are investigated and where necessary action taken.

In these times of government austerity, funding is being cut to our council, and as such we have less money to spend, but we understand your concerns about potholes in our roads, anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, inconsiderate parking, etc and together work hard to help resolve these issues.

You can contact us at our Ward Surgeries, by phone or e-mail and we strive to responded as quickly as possible.

Together your three Labour Councillors in Millfield are working hard to build a better Millfield by serving the needs of the individual and working together with our Labour colleagues on the Council to improve the City of Sunderland, as a whole, for all.
