Nutritional Information
Being healthy is about having a balanced diet where no food is a bad food, only a good and bad diet. There are 5 food groups that make up a balanced diet. Fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates make up two thirds of the diet as these contain vitamins and minerals and provide the body with energy.

We should aim to eat 3 portions of dairy foods to help our bones and teeth grow strong and 2-3 portions of protein to help the body grow and repair. Small amounts of fatty and sugary foods are allowed in the diet as these provide the body with energy and protect vital organs in the body.

School meals are nutritionally balanced to ensure pupils receive 14 vital nutrients needed for good health.
