Food in Schools - Funding The first two years of the Food in Schools Programme were funded by the DfES transitional school meals funding and targeted all schools across the city. From August 2008 funding will come from 'Choosing Health' and the programme will see a change in direction. A targeted approach will be taken to promote healthy lifestyles and the programme will include: |

The Food in Schools Team also work in partnership with the Community
Enterprise project Expo Chef. Expo Chef deliver fun and educational cooking demonstrations to entertain, inspire and give audiences of all ages the confidence to cook with healthy food. The products provided by Expo Chef can help schools achieve Healthy Schools status and positively influence Ofsted inspections. |
