School Census and PLASC 2006

Census day - 19 January 2006

From 2006, Secondary schools completed a termly census (Spring, Summer and Autumn).  Primary, Special and Nursery schools completed a PLASC Pupil Level Annual School Census) return.

All pupil ages are calculated as at 31st August 2005.

Please note that figures relating to pupil numbers do not take into account “duplicate pupil” and "duplicate UPN" data checks carried out in March 2006 in collaboration with the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
