The key aim of the School Improvement Team is to raise the achievements of all pupils by monitoring the performance of our schools, challenging and supporting them to do better and intervening when necessary.
  • Challenges schools when monitoring standards and setting targets
  • Provides general support for all schools and intensive support for some
  • Develops school's capacity to be self evaluative
  • Promotes and disseminates good practice and celebrates achievement in schools
  • Leads initiatives designed to raise standards and encourages action research in schools
  • Acts as an advocate for all pupils and teachers
