safe
Over the winter months you may have seen and heard about a Safer Sunderland
Partnership campaign to raise awareness of what people can do to keep
their homes safe.
Don't Advertise Your
Stuff To Thieves
Safer Sunderland Partnership is supporting the Home Office campaign to
reduce house burglaries. You may have seen adverts on TV or heard them
on local radio stations.
Domestic Violence
Survey
Domestic violence is a very common problem in relationships and families
but often people do not recognise it when it is happening to them or
someone they know and /or do not know what to do about it or where to
get help. Sunderland City Council is working closely with the University
of Sunderland who are both committed to helping with this problem.

In March 2008 Sunderland City Council and it's partners was announced as a Beacon Authority for Reducing Re-offending - one
