The Safer Sunderland Partnership is tackling crime, disorder, fear of crime and substance misuse to ensure that everyone in Sunderland is, and feels, safe and secure. To find out about how we will do this, you can view our new 15 year Safer Sunderland Strategy 2008-2023. It sets out what we believe will make Sunderland the safest it has ever been and will give you a real expectation of what we can do by working together to make Sunderland be safe and feel safe.

:.House Burglary continues to fall
 Burglary in Sunderland has been halved over the past four years thanks to the continuing work of Police and partners.

 POLICE in Sunderland continue to drive down car crime with a 12.9% reduction so far this year - equating to 386 fewer victims.

 ONE was named the Pride of Wearside and another delivers a road safety message to primary schools on Wearside. Both are Community Support Officers (CSOs) and they play a vital role in the policing of Sunderland.
