Health Information

Sunderland Libraries provide a variety of health information for its customers.  There are books to borrow, leaflets to take away and information on organisations that offer information and advice.  Regular events, promotions and displays are planned for the future.

This service is particularly dedicated to providing information and services to individuals seeking help and advice regarding substance misuse, and offering support through resources and programmes.

This service has been created through a partnership between Sunderland Libraries, Sunderland Teaching Primary Care Trust and MLA North East.  It also works in partnership with Wellness.

The service aims to improve health in the community by providing the information, education and contacts to enable people to live physically and mentally healthy lives.
