Our vision: "In Sunderland everyone will have affordable access to quality sport and physical activity opportunities to improve their health and well-being at first class, community based facilities throughout the City."

Sunderland City Council takes the health and well being of all who live, work and study in the city very seriously.  We want people to live an active, independent life to the full.  An important part of achieving this is to take part in regular physical activity in Sunderland the choices available to you just keep getting better.

Sport and Leisure facilities are continuing to evolve, offering access to state of the art equipment in Wellness Centres, more courses and a greater selection of Wellness exercise classes.
