Workplace Travel Plans

Welcome to the workplace travel plan area of this website.

A travel plan is a package of measures made to manage an organisation's transport activities.  This is aimed at promoting a greener, cleaner travel option and reducing reliance on the car. Travel plans can increase travel choices by encouraging the use of public transport, walking, cycling, and low-emission vehicles for commuting to and from work as well as other business needs. It can also bring a number of other benefits to your organisation as an employer and to staff.

New developments that are likely to have travel and traffic implications may be required to produce a travel plan to set out how the impacts will be minimised.  Some organisations choose to manage their transport needs through a travel plan.
