Fairtrade events and where to buy Fairtrade products in Sunderland

Traidcraft Exchange is the UK's only development charity specialising in making trade work for the poor.  Together with our local partners overseas, we manage projects that help poor producers develop their businesses, find markets and engage in trade.  Traidcraft also campaign for changes in the rules that govern trade, challenging injustice and encouraging changes in public and political attitudes.

The Bupa Great North Run takes place on Sunday 5th October 2008.  The entry fee is £40 and Traidcraft asks you to pledge to raise £275 in sponsorship money for Traidcraft Exchange.  In return, Traidcraft will provide a fundraising pack, training guide and access to a web forum where runners receive a login allowing them to chat to other runners about fundraising progress, running partners or other useful resources.  Runners will also receive a Traidcraft T-shirt and a warm welcome at our post-race reception with refreshments and a goody bag.  The deadline for entry is the 18th July.
