City of Sunderland Urban Capacity Study |
The Government has asked all local authorities to publish 'Urban Capacity Studies' to examine the supply of land and buildings that could be available to accommodate new housing.
The City of Sunderland Urban Capacity Study (December 2002) was approved and adopted by the City Council on 26 February 2003 for development plan purposes and to inform the review of the City's
next development plan, the Local Development Framework. More recently, the Interim Strategy for Housing Land has been to Cabinet and will be put forward to full Council in March 2006. If approved, the ISHL will supersede the Urban Capacity Study Volume 1. Key documents relating to SPDs and SPDs can be found listed in the Document Centre & Related Links page.
