Sunderland City Council believes that the more local people are involved in the planning and design of Council services the more they will be able to influence and improve them and ensure that they are relevant to their wants and needs. We are therefore actively encouraging people in Sunderland to become involved. If you want to ask your Councillor a question, request a service or make a complaint, you can send a direct e-mail. Alternatively, you may telephone, email, write or visit your Councillor in person. Councillor Surgeries Councillors are elected to serve and represent their communities, and therefore need and want to be accessible to local people. Councillors hold regular surgeries in their areas, when local people can visit them in a public place, to seek advice, raise issues of current concern, or just to make contact or check general progress.
