Since 2004, Sunderland City Council has conducted a review of its polling
districts, its polling places and its polling stations. New legislation
introduced last year makes this type of review a statutory obligation
for the Council.
The City’s 2007 review is now complete. The aim of the review was to ensure, as far as practicable, that electors have reasonable facilities for voting and that they are accessible to all electors, including disabled persons. Links to key documents are listed below:-
