St Mary's car park is an award winning facility opened in November 1993.  It consists of 480 spaces on four floors.

Special design features include spacious parking spaces and aisle ways, comprehensive CCTV system including a mix of 36 pan/tilt/zoom and fixed focus cameras covering all levels, rising hydraulic kerbs and barriers at the entrances/exits, scenic lifts, fully glazed stairwells, lighting levels to BS5489, a 'pay on foot' method of payment and patrolling guards.

Over the years St Mary's car park has won a number of awards:
* Gold Award for design in association with the Secured Car Parks Scheme
* Voted the best in the region in the Norwich Union Safe Car Parks Scheme 1995
* Won the concept and design category of the Robert Stephenson Award in 1995
* Nominated the safest car park in Great Britain by Norwich Union's Safe Car Park Scheme 1996
* Awarded the Secured Car Parks Award for Management in 1998. This award is reviewed annually and has been retained year on year
* Awarded 'Safer Parking' status in 2004 that has been retained year on year.

St Mary's still boasts a 100% car crime free security record, reaffirming the Council's commitment to eradicating car crime from city centre car parks. 

Tariff per hour: 
Monday to Saturday:
8.00 am - 6.00 pm, £1.10 per hour
6.00 pm - 8.00 am, 50p per hour (note that the car park closes at 11.30 pm)
Sunday:
10.00 am - 6.00 pm, 50p per hour up to a maximum of £1.00 

Lost tickets:
In order to preserve the security of the car park there is a lost ticket charge of £12.00

Overnight Parking:
All vehicles must be parked by 11.30 pm and can be retrieved from 8.00 am the following morning except Sundays when the car park opens at 10.00 am.  The evening fee of 50p per hour applies.  Any vehicles that need to be removed outside of operational hours will incur a £25.00 release fee.

Disabled parking: normal charges will apply at this site

Other facilities: free secure parking for bicycles; motorbike parking available; toilets; covered footbridge direct to high street shopping
